Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is an emerging paradigm to accelerate innovation and to reduce CAPEX/OPEX costs of network equipment. Achieving telecom-grade service availability is a key challenge towards fulfilling this vision. The low reliability and performance of off-the-shelf (OTS) hardware and software components increase the field operating risk. To reduce this risk, telecom vendors need to test and verify the reliability of cloud-based NFV networks during the development phase. Critiware has partnered with Huawei Technologies to develop a new reliability testing infrastructure for cloud systems to address these new complex challenges.
